Saturday in Tokyo

I bought this t-shirt on a rainy Saturday morning in Shinyuku, Tokyo. I wanted a piece reminding me of the wonderful moments I had experienced in Japan. But there is another thing: The figure on the t-shirt is a symbol for my own life journey. It´s pretty hard for me to give this piece away. I hope someone will appreciate it.

The Eye of the Tigers

Usually the term "Tiger states" refers to the economies of Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and South Korea. I bought this t-shirt on a trip that brought me to Mumbai, Bangalore, Tokyo and Shanghai. Eventually I bought this piece on a night market in Hong Kong. It will always remind me of the economic superpower that some Asian cities are developing at the moment. This trip has definitely shifted my worldview. I´ve looked into the eye of the tigers.

Giraffe Art

I did all but stitch this shirt myself. It´s a drugstore bought, bathtub dyed undershirt. I downloaded a giraff image, printed it on a clear overhead projector sheet, cut out a stencil and sponge painted the graphic. It took forever! We made these shirts bevore we were signed, and they have come to represent our unlimited (if misguided) enthusiasm for working hard at being our own unique band.

Akihabara Electric Town

Akihabara is the Japanese centre of the universe for electronics. As a matter of fact I thought of buying a laptop there. As I couldn´t find one with a Western keyboard I decided to buy a t-shirt instead. Well, this is it. There was another highlight on the same day: I had the best Japanese dinner of my life wearing this shirt.

Chinese Characters
